Budget
and Management Services
Responsible for preparing and monitoring the Annual Appropriation
Bill (budget) of Cook County. Coordinates the development
of annual and long-term budgetary projections, budgetary and
central reporting for all grants and the County's captial
equipment program.
Office
of the Comptroller
Reviews and discharges all debts or credits in which the County
is financially concerned. The Comptroller maintains a record
of all budgetary appropriations, expenditures, encumbrances
and revenues made or received during the respective fiscal
year.
Contract
Compliance Office
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Cook County
Minority Business Enterprise/Women's Business Enterprise Ordinance.
The department monitors contract activities for compliance
and serves as the coordination point for the County's minority-and-women-owned
business programs, including outreach to potential vendors.
Office
of the Purchasing Agent
Procures quality goods and services for Cook County Agencies
at the best market value.
Coordinates all bidding opportunities for goods in the County.
Department
of Revenue
Collects and enforces the Home Rule Taxes and various fees
of Cook County which includes the Amusement, Cigarette, Gasoline/Diesel
Fuel, Liquor, Parking, New Motor Vehicle, Wheel (Vehicle Stickers)
and Use Tax on titled property.
Department
of Risk Management
Responsible for the administration of employee benefit
plans, workers' compensation claims, general libility claims
and safety programs for the County.
